St. Bartholomew’s Day 2023 is the kickoff for our Platinum Anniversary! That’s right in 2024 St. Bart’s turns 70! Here is what’s planned so far:

20th Anniversary of the Organ Friday, October 20, 2023 –
special concert with guest organist
Bishop Wright’s Visitation, Sunday, January 20, 2024
Platinum Evensong with Holy Eucharist, Wednesday, January 31, 2024

According to the history, on Saturday, December 12, 1953, “thirteen Episcopalians residing near Toco Hills met…to explore the feasibility of establishing a mission.” The first Eucharist was held on Sunday, January 31, 1954, in the W.D. Thomson Elementary School auditorium, located at the intersection of North Druid Hills Road and LaVista Road. LA Fitness is there now. Much has transpired since then!

To God be the glory! Let’s celebrate!

Psalm 150

1 Alleluia! Praise God in the holy temple; * praise God in the firmament of power.
2 Praise God for every mighty act; * praise God’s excellent greatness.
3 Praise God with the blast of the ram’s-horn; * praise God with lyre and harp.
4 Praise God with timbrel and dance; * praise God with strings and pipe.
5 Praise God with resounding cymbals; * praise God with loud-clanging cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath * praise God. Alleluia!
