Endowment Fund

St Bartholomew’s Endowment is funds donated and dedicated to special uses in the life of the parish. Established in 2002, the Endowment has steadily grown to a position where it can now fund major undertakings in the parish. The Endowment is administered by a board of seven volunteer members selected among the parishioners. Donations are invested and held in perpetuity, while a portion of the return on investments is made available for projects and grants each year. Projects include ministries beyond what is possible in the church’s annual operating funds. These may involve capital needs of the parish, outreach ministries and grants, seed money for new ministries, and one-time special projects.

The Heirs of Anna and Simeon

“Lord, you now have set your servant free to go in peace as you have promised; For these eyes of mine have seen the Savior, whom you have prepared for all the world to see: A Light to enlighten the nations, and the glory of your people Israel.”  Song of Simeon (Luke 2)

The Heirs of Anna and Simeon are members and friends of the parish who are committed to the continuing work of the parish for years to come by contributing to the Endowment Fund, either while living or through their estates.    There are a number of ways to contribute, for example, naming the church as beneficiary of an IRA or life insurance policy, naming the church as beneficiary in a will, or giving a gift of securities.  For a fuller description of contribution options, see the Heirs of Anna Simeon Brochure. Planned gifts of any amount qualify.  Many of these giving opportunities offer significant financial benefits to the donor.

Becoming an Heir is simple.  An enrollment form records your intent to contribute to the Endowment Fund in one of the options available.   Simply fill out the form and return it to the church office.  Share your intent with anyone responsible for your estate.
