Volunteer Opportunities

St. Bartholomew’s Advocacy Coordinator

St. Bartholomew’s is in need of an Advocacy Coordinator. As volunteer advocacy coordinator you will work with the Vestry Chair for Outreach and Social Justice to identify opportunities for parishioners to make their voices heard to elected official and policy makers at the local, state and federal level. Expected tasks include subscribing to/monitoring existing non-profit advocacy websites’ legislative action alerts on issues related to St. Bartholomew’s outreach ministries and passing along action opportunities (letter writing, emailing, phone calling, capitol visits) to the all parishioners via social media, parish weekly email and e-newsletter. You will be working with the communications staff and vestry leaders to help curate content.
Time expectation: All of this work can be performed at night and on weekends with a computer (or from a phone). Estimated weekly time commitment: 2-3 hours a week.
