Rite-13 helps young people build deep friendships, connect
the themes of Scripture to their lives, learn about the
ministries in the congregation, get involved in outreach, and
discover approaches to spirituality and prayer. Youth learn to
acknowledge the gift of gender, honor the sacredness of their
creative power, and foster a safe haven to explore new ideas,
interests and abilities in the context of lots of fun! Its
highlight is the "Rite-13" celebration, at the youth's 13th
birthday, which includes a festive dinner and a powerful liturgy
during morning worship.
