Brotherhood of St. Bartholomew
Community, Spirituality, and the Arts

We have done some fantastic work this year living into who we are as, The Brotherhood of St. Bartholomew. We had a very successful and productive time when we last met in March. First, we have a proposed draft of our mission statement:

Mission Statement

  • We are a male group of parishioners, reflecting the diversity of the parish of which we are a part; we are an independent minded group of disciples seeking a closer relationship with God through study, worship and service in fellowship with one another.
  • We seek to be a witness of Christ’s love by offering a visible presence of service in the congregation through our support of individuals, groups and parish activities.
  • We claim a ministry to those in need in the wider community and the world by undertaking service projects in support of and in collaboration with other community and international groups.
  • We are working to form committees to direct our resources toward, meeting times with worship and spiritual formation, The Toco Hill Community Alliance, creative events in fellowship, and clearing the pathway to St. Bart’s by replacing the ‘Episcopal Church Welcomes You’ signs to St. Bart’s.

The Brotherhood Wants You!

The 2005/2006 event year will be Arthur’s last year of his term as President. The Brotherhood is looking for a few men interested in applying for this rewarding job. The new President will have the support and guidance form the Executive members and his term will begin fall 2006. We are excited about the fresh new ideas a new leader can bring.
