Emmaus House
Help Needed (Brochure)

The mission of Emmaus House is to provide hope and hospitality to our neighbors in Peoplestown and beyond. Through a variety of programs for children, adults and seniors, we strive to be the love of Christ incarnate in our immediate community and to form relationships that embody the reconciling love of God. An integral part of our vocation is also to provide a setting in which members of God's household in the Diocese of Atlanta and beyond can share ministry experiences that broaden their understanding of the gospel call to "strive for justice and peace among all people."

For more information visit www.emmaushouse.org or call Deacon John Titus at 404.525.5948 on Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Emmaus House Friends,

It's (almost) the most wonderful time of the year!  And it won't be long before we sit down to eat a Thanksgiving meal, hear carols on the radio and see store windows reminding us that Christmas is right around the corner.

This holiday season we would like to invite you to join us at Emmaus House as we celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with our neighbors in Peoplestown.  Here are some opportunities that we believe will allow you to experience the truth that "it is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35).

Thanksgiving Baskets:
Emmaus House provides turkeys, side items and greens for 250 families allowing each family to prepare and enjoy a Thanksgiving meal at home.
  • Volunteers are needed to donate and assemble family baskets of side items. We provide a shopping list and bag for you to put the groceries in. This is a great project for young children!
  • Please contact Stephanie Coble 404-525-5948 x27 or email stephaniecoble@emmaushouse.org if you would like to participate.
Christmas Opportunities:
Beginning December 1st we welcome Christmas with an event called Christmas in Peoplestown.  Then throughout December we host a variety of events including: a Grandparent's party, a luncheon for our Senior Strollers, our Christmas Family partnership, a secret Santa shop and a Christmas Festival on Christmas eve during which 750+ kids come to see Santa!
  • There are too many details to list here so I have attached a description of each event  and volunteer opportunities!
Please let us know how you would like to be involved.  We hope you will accept our invitation to participate in Emmaus House opportunities this holiday season and any time of the year!
